WELCOME TO THE UNIVERSITY CHURCH!

Welcome to the University Church! We're excited that you have chosen to be a part of the Pepperdine and Malibu communities. Our church is centered in the heart of Pepperdine University to serve students and Malibu residents as an expression of the love of Christ. We have many ministries to the Malibu community and beyond that we're certain will excite you and motivate you.

We also have many opportunities to be involved in the life of our church community from small groups to student focused house groups to fellowship meal groups. Stop by our office in Joceyln Plaza at any time to meet with one of our ministry staff and explore ways to get involved! I'm glad you're here.

LIVING THE LIFE THAT GOD INTENDED

It’s fair to say that many people don’t feel like they are living life to the fullest. Work commitments, family stresses, personal struggles, unemployment, personal loss, and general pessimism about our world saps the energy from us and leaves us doing just enough to get by. Many wish they could be more involved in their church families, serve more in their communities, give more of their resources, spend more time with friends, and grow deeper in the faith. “Not now, but someday I will,” we say. Sadly for many, that day never comes. We are left with the sense that we are not fully living the life God intended for us to live. It’s why we celebrate those who do and secretly wish we could, too.

However, all is not lost. In a community of faith we can find the strength and support to make small changes, mid-course corrections, to begin living the way we’d really like to live, living the way we admire other’s living, and doing greater things than we have possibly imagined. Scripture is filled with people who have done just that. We’ll look at many during this new series of messages on Sunday mornings. Our churches are filled with people who are doing just that. We’ll hear from many of them during this new series. And God’s word and direction is just as powerful to change us as it was in Jesus’ day. We’ll listen deeply to that in this new series, too.

I’m praying now for God to do great things in you and through you in the months to come. Join us on Sundays to see what that might look like!
