Communication Ministry

The Communication Ministry is currently looking for volunteers to serve in the following positions:

WEB CONTENT MANAGER
Volunteers are needed to add content to ministry web pages.

YOUTUBE MANAGER
Volunteers are needed to develop and manage an official YouTube channel for the University Church of Christ. Responsibilities would include, research options, brand the channel, gather existing content to be include on the channel. Plan, promote, and execute the launch of the channel.

TWITTER MANAGER
Volunteers are needed to develop and manage an official Twitter feed for the University Church of Christ. Responsibilities would include, research options, brand the page, develop and publish a communication standards guide.

VIDEOGRAPHER AND EDITOR
Volunteers are needed to capture video content and edit it in a form that can be presented during worship services, classroom settings, and online. Volunteers should have some demonstrated experience in videography and editing

EVENT PHOTOGRAPHER
Volunteers are needed to capture images at regular and special events, edit selected images, and post them to the image gallery on the website.

WELCOME TO THE COMMUNICATION MINISTRY

The Communication Ministry is a support ministry of the University Church of Christ. Large corporations and small family units rely on communication to build and strengthen community. So it is with the University Church. We are a diverse population at different stages of our faith walk. Creating understanding through communication is an essential task to building a strong and healthy church life.

The goal of this ministry is to share the good news of Christ by facilitating dialogue and to keeping the congregation and the community informed of needs, opportunities, and activities.

There are two branches of this ministry: communication and technology. This ministry relies on the talents of church members with interest in photography, video production and editing, writing, graphic design, sound mixing, and lighting.

Rick Gibson
Rick serves as the Vice President for Public Affairs and Church Relations at Pepperdine University. As such, he leads a team of communication professionals who tell the Pepperdine story through publications, public relations and marketing activities, and through special events.
