Sing to the LORD, praise his name;
proclaim his salvation day after day.
Declare his glory among the nations,
his marvelous deeds among all peoples.

teams – and they are doing
a tremendous job! Your giving helps workers go share Jesus
and share themselves through English conversation about the gospel of
Luke. It also allows our trainers and coordinators to attend
workshops and retreats designed to strengthen their leadership and
commitment.
Mission Predisan,
a Christian mission founded in 1986, provides physical healing and
spiritual hope at nine facilities in eastern Honduras. In 2007, the
Predisan Health Center provided health care and laboratory services over
42,000 times to patients coming from surrounding communities, gave
scholarships to 125 students, and offered hope to 200 patients seeking
alcohol and drug rehabilitation. Martha Rivera is the new
executive director continuing to work with Dr. Amanda Madrid, founding
medical director and Doña Doris Clark, founding missionary.

Camp Bill
Stivers
in San Felipe, Mexico is a summer camp outreach to
local children by the San Felipe church. The camp was a beloved
project of our former elder and brother, Bill Stivers, for some 40
years. University Church members work here at least twice a year, and,
according to Linda Truschke, “It
changes students’ lives.” The camp organized by the Dimas family,
who minister to children at the camp and to the local church in San
Felipe.
Mark Long

Kampala Church of Christ
has
been part
of the ministry team of the Kampala Church of Christ in Uganda since
2002 and is a Pepperdine alum. His gift is being a “team deacon” and he
focuses on doing things to keep the rest of the ministry teams in Uganda
functioning as smoothly as possible. He builds, fixes, and fills
a variety of roles. “There are a lot of wonderful people making
sacrifices all over the states in order that I might remain over here.
I want to thank all of you very, very, very much. I wish I could
get each of you over here to see first hand what God is doing and how He
is touching lives…” Mark is a wonderful example of a student who
did LST while at the University church and then went on to full time
mission work!

Joseph Dzamesi
is a Pepperdine graduate who has returned to his home in Ghana, and now
serves as an administrator and minister at the
Sonrise Christian High School.
This school was founded in 2005, and has grown dramatically already.
The school trains hundreds of students in four (soon to be five) areas
of academic focus. Construction is underway for new classrooms,
and there is great excitement about the future of this young high
school. During 2009, eight Sonrise students confessed their belief
in Jesus Christ and were baptized.

Tech
Ministry
Providing technical service for congregational worship and beyond. This
group of “behind the scenes” volunteers work with projected visuals,
audio and lighting equipment, putting aside personal preferences for
worship styles, to help the congregation engage in worship and draw
closer to God. We provide a point of contact for all things technical,
train others, recommend practices and technology, establish metrics,
record and distribute sermon audio, and help maintain the church
website.
